UKRAINIAN EASTER EGG WORKSHOPS

Call for dates (902) 222-0427

Workshops are scheduled before Easter each year as outlined below. If you would like to schedule a workshop for your group, contact Cathy Karpenko for further details.

INSTRUCTOR: Cathy Karpenko

FEE for each workshop is $20 which includes a stylus and beeswax to take home.

BEGINNERS: The basic technique of doing Ukrainian Easter eggs will be covered in each workshop along with a brief explanation of the history ad symbolism. Children are welcome, but those under 12 must be accompanied by an adult as we will be using candles and close supervision is necessary. We will use blown eggs which can be done at the workshop using an egg blowing device which simplifies the process and leaves a smaller hole. Wear old clothing as the dyes we use can cause a permanent stain. Dyes and other supplies will be available for purchase if you require them for home egg creations.

Access can be made from South St. on Alumni Crescent near the skating rink where parking is available around the soccer playing field.
